Ann Fitzpatrick, DVM, MPH

Dr. Fitzpatrick is a research associate in the Minnesota Center of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance (MCEIRS). Before joining MCEIRS, Dr. Fitzpatrick spent more than 9 years at the University of Minnesota, Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) in the Vice President for Research office. While working in ORA, she developed and directed several compliance programs and also gained extensive experience in research administration, policy development, and training development and implementation. Dr. Fitzpatrick also has experience with a large international cooperative agreement addressing capacity building for zoonotic disease response and is a faculty member in the veterinary graduate school.

Prior to coming to the University of Minnesota, Dr. Fitzpatrick worked as a senior epidemiologist at the Minnesota Department of Health. She also has more than 10 years of experience in veterinary practice, including both mixed-animal and small-animal practice. Dr. Fitzpatrick received her DVM and her MPH from the University of Minnesota.
